ULTRA-THIN DISSIPATER
About 25 years ago, everyone was amazed by the new thin strip of lights, the so-called LEDs (Light Emitted Diodes).
Low consumption, long life span and « no heat »!
This was, and still is, true for low intensity LED lights, but, as soon as the light intensity increases, the LED light sources do generate heat. If this heat is not efficiently dissipated, the LED will first turn green and eventually “die” after a few weeks of usage.
For that, heat dissipaters in aluminium (like a radiator in a car engine) are placed under the light sources to keep them at a temperature of about 40° to 50° C.
Again, according to the intensity of the LED, the heat dissipater is calibrated in size but can become heavy and very bulky.
To reduce both size and weight of those dissipaters, DiaLumen is coming out with the latest heat dissipation technology based on magnetic resonance.
For example: a standard aluminium heat dissipater of 400 x 100 x h. 55 mm will “shrink” to 400 x 100 x h. 3 mm, only!
This breakthrough technology now allows us to develop new table lamps, new moving devices, and ultra-thin LED bars, with tremendously reduced sizes, and by keeping the same great performances.
For counters or glass showcases, where the size of the light fixture is always a challenge to be solved. DiaLumen is now launching ultra-thin (3mm) LED bars of 320/520/920 mm in length, that can be easily installed with magnets.
